Wilfredo “Willy” Tan is this year’s Most Outstanding Kapampangan Awardee (MOKA) for Social Service. He is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Hausland Development Corporation.
Willy is one of the most influential persons in the real estate industry today. With the numerous subdivision projects under his Company, he has definitely become a force to reckon within the real estate arena.
Being a former President (1994-1996) of Chamber Real Estate and Builders Association (CREBA) – Pampanga Chapter and President (2007) of the Organization of Socialized Housing Developers of the Philippines (OSHDP), Willy has led various programs that helped shape the 21st century real estate landscape, moving the housing sector forward and making homeownership more attainable.
At present , the awardee serves as Director for Pampanga Chamber (PamCham) and Governor of Sheda Board of Governor (Subdivision and Housing Developers Assocation).
Born from an enterprising family in October 12, 1956, Willy got an early business training attending to the family’s commercial stall in Sta. Cruz Manila. In college, he busied himself in buy and sell of office materials, grabbing the opportunity of earning while learning. He breezed through 18 different businesses before he tried housing as an endeavor after he completed his Commerce degree Major in Accounting from the University of Sto. Tomas in 1978.
